We are seeking an experienced architect to join our team. The ideal candidate is described below. This is an in-person position at Ario Studio's office in downtown Travelers Rest, SC.

This role is not for someone who:

• Wants to work on architecture independent of interiors

• Doesn’t enjoy project management or client-facing responsibilities

• Prefers minimal design feedback or loose standards

• Avoids critique or takes design feedback personally

• Is satisfied repeating solutions that “worked on the last project”

• Isn’t genuinely excited by both residential and commercial work

In this position, you can expect to:

• Work on both commercial and residential architecture projects (20% commercial and 80% residential)

• Work directly with, and coordinate between, clients, vendors, consultants, engineers, and contractors.

• Lead and manage projects from schematic design through construction administration.

• Create detailed construction drawings, including floor plans, RCPs, electrical plans, section details, construction details, roof plans, interior elevations, and more.

• Develop 3D models and 2D construction sets.

• Mentor and support junior team members.

• Perform quality control and document reviews.

• Create image and video renderings for projects.

• Visit properties and work sites.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in architecture (commercial and/or residential)

• Master’s degree in architecture (or Bachelor’s with extensive experience)

• Registered Architect in the State of South Carolina (preferred). Registration in additional states is even better.

• Experience on projects spanning multiple phases, from schematic design through construction administration

• Proficient in: SketchUp, Revit, Twinmotion or Lumion, Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office Suite
